Welcome to February!

Welcome to February!

Here we are in the month of love! Lots to love going on around here, for instance...

This weekend we are facilitating a "Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage" Conference at Harrisonville Community Church in Harrisonville, MO. It will be a blast with lots of great, practical take-home tips. There may still be room left, call (816) 884-2431 for reservations.

Phil is really enjoying his time as interim worship leader at Big Creek Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill. Our schedule is still pretty light so he has agreed to help them out through Easter.

This past weekend we celebrated Phil's mom's 90th birthday with a surprise party. She has played a huge part in our ministry, especially helping when our kids were young. It was so good to have everyone together for a special day for a special lady!

After almost 30 years, we have decided to retire our Post Office Box this summer. This little "free" newsletter that we started for a minimal expense 24 years ago now costs us over $1,500 a year. Spam has resulted in ever increasing bulk email requirements from Google and Yahoo, so to continue this part of our ministry we have to use some rather expensive commercial services. We hear from many of you that these newsletters are a blessing in your Christian walk, so we are going to trim expenses where we can to keep them coming to you. Please direct any future correspondence or donations to our office address: Phil and Pam Morgan, 9700 Jacob Lane, Lee's Summit, MO 64086.

And finally, it appears Taylor Swift keeps coming to Kansas City to see one of our concerts, but since we haven't had any around here lately, she has to settle for the Chiefs games. Pam has become an ardent (and rather loud) football fan and is excited about our team going to the Super Bowl! Phil just grabs some of his hearing protection from the woodshop and enjoys time with his sweetie!

Have a "love"-ly February,
Phil and Pam

Hey friends, For the second time this year, our concert is flooded out. This evening's concert in Rockville, MO is going to be rescheduled for a later date. The recent rain has caused flooding in the area and they are supposed to get more this afternoon. Pray for those affected! We look forward to seeing our friends in that area when things dry up a bit. In the meantime, stay safe, put on one of our albums and we'll have a long distance sing-along! Blessings,Phil and Pam Click Here to Check...

Cinco de Yummy! by Phil I'm counting down the days to Cinco de Mayo, which celebrates Mexico's victory over the French on May 5, 1862. Strangely enough, Cinco de Mayo is an American holiday and rarely celebrated in Mexico. Either way, it's a great excuse to eat burritos and tamales! I'm personally in favor of all food related holidays. I love to eat Irish food on St. Patrick's Day, Chinese on the Chinese New Year, Italian on Valentine's Day (I'm not sure why, but who's arguing?), American...

More Than Conquerors by Phil On Easter Sunday the sermon was based on one of my favorite chapters in the Bible - Romans 8. I was following along in my Blue Letter Bible app*, and tapped on the phrase “more than conquerors” in verse 37. I knew from previous study that in the Greek this phrase is just one word - Hypernikao, but I’d never looked at the tense of the word. I’m not a Greek scholar, but here’s what I understand. In ancient or Biblical greek, each verb has one of four moods, three...
